Launch of LVGA
In 2025, Luxembourg levels up.
We're proud to announce the official launch of the Luxembourg Video Game Association (LVGA) — a bold new initiative at the heart of Europe's gaming future. Rooted in the belief that video games are not just entertainment but a powerful form of art, education, and community, LVGA is here to transform the way we create, learn, and play.
Why LVGA?
Unlike traditional art forms, video games don't just invite observation — they demand participation, creating a unique dialogue between creator and player that transcends conventional artistic boundaries. As one recent exhibition described it:
“Game developers are the new Renaissance artists, wielding code instead of brushes, pixels instead of paint.” — Fred Neuen
LVGA exists to celebrate and support these digital artists, storytellers, and innovators — and to help Luxembourg take its rightful place on the global gaming map.
Our Mission: Built on Three Pillars
At the core of LVGA are three essential foundations:
Development – We nurture local talent, provide resources to indie developers, and create bridges between creators and the global gaming industry.
Education – We partner with schools, universities, and educators to promote coding, creativity, and digital literacy through games.
Events & Esports – From community meetups to high-energy competitions, we’re building a vibrant ecosystem where gamers, developers, and fans can connect and thrive.
A Cultural Movement
LVGA is more than just an association. We’re a catalyst for Luxembourg’s gaming (r)evolution — redefining what it means to be a game developer in the 21st century and empowering the next generation to dream bigger, code smarter, and play harder.
This is the beginning of something great.
Let’s build the future of games. Together.
